I have always wanted to be a Pilot for as long as I can remember.
I didn’t know any professional Pilots and finding the right training academy after high school was really challenging. Having a PPL and some flying hours, I decided to pursue a modular training route. During training I realised how tough the employment market was and I worried about my substantial financial outlay.
That was when I found out about KURA; a place that allowed me to bridge the gap between single Pilot training and airline employment. After meeting Isobel, I was convinced it was the place to go.
KURA was the best investment of my entire training.
Pilot Fundamentals developed my awareness of what an airline expects in terms of the roles and responsibilities of a First Officer. The instructors are extremely passionate and have a huge amount of experience with great airlines. The course was interesting and taught me a lot about the aviation industry.
Following the Professional Pilot Development module I felt completely ready for airline interview and assessment and confident in my ability to succeed. Thanks to the dedicated team at KURA, I got a job offer straight after my first interview.
The enhanced technical skills training delivered by KURA was astonishing and thoroughly prepared me for my F100 type-rating.
I had constant support after the course and I felt backed by the team throughout the whole process. It was so nice and reassuring to work with people who want you to achieve your dream and show a huge dedication on making it happen.
Throughout my line training with the airline, the KURA Customer Liaison Team called me many times to provide personal advice and help to solve any difficulties I had. I am really thankful; the support they gave me was invaluable to succeed.
I am forever grateful to the fabulous team at KURA, the preparation they gave me to become a First Officer was second to none. Thanks to Isobel, Philip, Pete, Andy, Fraser and the rest of the team, I realised my dream and now fly the Fokker 100 around Europe.
